The Monash University
Betty Amsden AO Leadership Program

Administered by Monash University through a special grant, this awards program supports up to 20 students each year who have shown leadership potential and have experienced educational disadvantages.

Each student is awarded $6,000 and matched with Monash alumni mentors, who provide one-on-one coaching and advice with a focus on industry knowledge, networks, career planning and personal development.
The connection, guidance and inspiration provided by the alumni mentors assist students to transition successfully to the workplace and beyond.

The Betty Amsden Leadership Development Award

Every two years the Foundation selects a small group of performing arts management professionals to participate in a coaching program with funding provided for independent learning experiences to enhance development.

The Betty Amsden Fellowship

The Fellowship is designed to celebrate and support an outstanding sector professional to develop new thinking and champion next best practice.
Awarded every two years.

Funding of up to $100,000 is provided for the 2026 Fellow to undertake formal, social, and experiential learning across an 18 month period.
